A Collection of Aussie Radio Shows No 60 Colgate Palmolive the makers of Lournay’s “Lasting Loveliness ” lipsticks, face powders and toiletries sponsored this radio show out of Sydney in 1946. John Fullard the highly acclaimed operatic tenor had visited Australia and New Zealand with the D’Oyly Carte Opera company in 1940-41 season. Fullard was back in Australia in 1946 and was engaged by Colgate-Palmolive to star in this Radio series which featured the lush Lournay Symphony Orchestra of 25 pieces conducted by either Dennis Collinson or Haydn Beck.
